Analyzer For Moisture Measurement in Chlorine Gas

The MEECO NastyboyTM is an extremely durable two-wire loop powered transmitter that measures moisture in chlorine gas down to concentrations below 1 ppm.

Chlorine is highly corrosive when combined with water even in minute concentrations. It can form hydrochloric acid, acidic ferric chlorides and hypochlorous acid. These acids aggressively attack numerous materials of construction such as stainless steel and other metals.

Using specially engineered components, the NastyboyTM can withstand some of the harshest conditions known to man. With the dual NEMA 4X enclosure assemblies and isolated electronics, the Nastyboy™ will standup over the long haul. Additionally, the inert gas purge ports prevent build up of hazardous corrosive gases.

Like other MEECO products, the NastyboyTM utilizes the absolute principle of Faraday's Law to quickly and accurately provide a direct reading of the moisture concentration in the sample gas without the need for frequent calibrations.
